JUNIORS ' FAVORITE ICE CREAM What do you do when you ' re hot and tired and your spirits are down? Just ask any high school student at Norco and they ' ll tell you a sure-fire method to solve these problems — ICE CREAM. There is nothing better on a hot afternoon than sitting with a friend and hash- ing over the latest gossip while licking away at a quickly melting ice cream cone. The big excitement comes when you walk into the ice cream shop and make the big decision of the moment — what flavor should be chosen? Do I get a single? Double? or Triple? Sugar or plain cone? A float or surt- dae? TOP FIVE 1. Chocolate 2. Vanilla 3. Chocolate Chip t 4. Burgundy Cherry « 5. In the spring many students go there on picnics or hikes. In the winter the scene changes from hikers to skiers. The resorts open and the slopes fill up. Anyone can ski: a couple of lessons and a person who ' s never seen the snow is soon skiing down the baby slopes. Then the more exper- ience one has, the bigger the slopes get, until finally it ' s the top of the hill! Skiing is one of the most popular pas- times on a mountain vacation. Everyone agreed that eating was an art to be performed on the run. Meals are snatched between run- ning in and out of restaurants and home. The gourmet taste at NHS seemed to run mostly towards whatever junk food could be attained in the shortest amount of time during lunch breaks. Many find that they do not have time to sit down to eat, but end up eating their meals in cars on the way to some important destination. It ' s enough to give someone INDIGESTION. TOP FIVE 1.
