Second-Cindy Melendez, Kim Gibon, Gwen Renner, Pauls Leontiy, Cahill, Third-Dan Moss, Mike Miller, Mike Cladu, Tom Seaton, Tim Srule, Bill Clemoms, Mike Shepard, Tom Hughes. , Established in 1071, The New Generation has been singing and dancing their way to concerts and music festivals all over California. Directed by Mrs. Betsy Stebbins, the group has performed at the various elementary schools in the Corona! Norco School District, along with other communiry functions, The New Generation is always proud to perform at such well known places as Disneyland, Six Flaggs, Magic Mountain, Knotr's Berry Farm, and the Anchorage Mall in San Francisco. The New Generation participates in such Choral Music Festivals as The Aztec Sing, The Colton Festival, and other music programs in the Southern California area. The group holds auditions every year to choose new members, Al- though it takes a great deal of talent for the performers to be accepted into the group, the musicians as well must excel in their musical ability. Picture a stage, curtain drawn, lights low, audience silent. Slowly the curtains begin to fold back revealing eighteen, young, enthusiastic performers waiting to entertain the crowd. YOW O V HPAW PRINTS STAFF A newspaper is an important means of communica- tion to any community. lt provides entertainment and a means of snoring ideas. lr keeps people informed of what is going on. Pow Prints is a monthly newspaper published by the Journalism Club especially for NHS. lt has articles ranging from school events to club activities to advice and opinion. The Paw Prints staff is proud of the fact that their school newspaper loolssjusi like a real news- paper, Once a weels a Paw Prints page is published in the Pony Express, Norco's local paper. The members are enrolled in vocational agriculture classes on campus where they learn about such things as ag. mechanics, Ornamental Horticulture, and Animal Science. Led by Mr. Ron Payne, Norco's FFA chapter gives the student a chance to learn by doing, gaining on-thejob experience that will help in the future employment. The purpose of FFA is summed up in its mortar Learning ta do Doing to learn Learning to live Living ta serve. Aquarius is a new and exciting perform- ing group here at Norco. lt is made up of a select group of musically orientated girls who want the chance to perform and com- pete in choral music festivals. This group is under the direction of Mrs. Betsy Stebbins. The Norco High School Drama Club pro- vides an opportunity for students interested in theater arts to come together and share their interest. lt gives them a chance to practice their craft and develop their talent. The club's goal this year was to re-establish drama at Norco High. This took a lot of work and organization on the part of the officers and the club sponsor. Norco High was fortue nate to have a new drama teacher and club sponsor Nls. Laurel Goodhue, Drama club officers were Valerie Hunter, President, Robert Cooper, vice president, and Barbra O'Donnell, secretary. Activities included a Homecoming float, the play production Bell, Book and Candle , and drama work- shops. The club hopes to continue next year to have a growing theatre arts program and theatre company at NHS.
