'Q in- F1 A High School Operetta X Q egg, Vocal Activities The Nora Springs Hired Chours sang several selectio n at the sake auction spo sered by the Husio Hotherl a lov ember 21, 1952 Two pre contests were held on April 8 and April 29 Small vocal groups and soloists went to contest at Osage on April ll The girls sextet got a division II rating The girls trio got a II Division I ratings were given to the following soloists baritone Jim Hall, tenor Loren Steldl, Clifton Ellerbeck baritone, Bob Danger bass, and Laura DeGraw alto Dolores Albertson soprano Janyce Auck alto, Clark Morphew baritone, and Danny Lusk tenor received II ratings Division III rating was given to Kay walker soprano The final state contest for soloists and sm ll groups who received I's the first contest, was held at Iowa City on April 25 Division I ratings were giv n to the following soloists Jim Hall baritone and Loren Steidl tenor Clifton Ellerbeck baritone and laura DeGraw alto received II ratings Bob Danger bass got a III The Mixed Chours and Girls Glee Club went to contest on Hay 2 at Garner. Both groups received Division II ratings.
