Years have passed since the Senior Class of 1973 graduated. Let us see what each one has been up to. We find Mary Bakken married and caring for her invalid husband, Randy Melle, who was permanently in- jured in his thirty-second car accident. They still own their Chevy. It seems that no matter how they tty, it runs on and on. Leaving the farm work for Garth, Pete Fagerbakke has taken off to the West Coast on his new 750 Honda. He is having such a good time seeing the country on his bike that he hasn't given much thought of returning to the farm. It took awhile locating Patty Dhuyvetter. Checking with the last college she had attended, we learned she joined the Peace Corps, and at the present time, she is working in some obscure village in the remote jungles of Africa. Gloria Fjeld is making popcorn balls for the Green Bay Packers. They are said to give the team that extra get up and go, and often make the difference between winning and losing. Estevan is still visited weekly by Robbie Burner. He has taken over Lyle Christianson's old job teaching pee wee baseball; a job that makes him really look forward to those weekends. We hear Thania Castellanos has returned safely to South America where she has wed Tarzan. They enjoy traveling and meeting people of other countries, but they prefer the jungle climate. Being he couldn't make a living as President of the Chrysler Corporation, Nathan Loucks is now a part time comedian on the Lawrence Welk Show. Nathan has found himself a wife, too. She is a sweet little thing who cooks and sews for him and speaks only when spoken to; just as a wife ought! Everyone is anxiously looking forward to the next Olympics where Elaine Haarstad, the greatest woman athlete, will be participating. She has really worked to get in shape for this big event, and we are backing her all the way. Rodney Christianson is struggling to make a living running the depot in Kermit whose total population con- sists of his family of blondes and redheads - the little cuties! Sacks of love letters are received daily by Mark Greaves who has taken up permanent residency in San Quenton. He says the letters cheer him up and provide an extra supply of papers for rolling cigarettes. Gary Lukach has graduated from North Dakota State University at Fargo. Fraternity life suited him so well that he decided to stay on, and to pay his way, Gary shampoos the carpet after parties at the DU Fraternity House. The Opera Houses are being played by Cindy Christianson who alternates giving singing lessons and 4-H demonstrations on the bus. Unused to kids, she finds it necessary to take off with her cat to recharge her pa- tience capacity. Jay Skarphol is happily married to Jeanne Melby and has recently taken over Howard's Bar. Business has been booming, and Jay is now considering reopening the old annex as a second business. Charla Wissbrod keeps herself busy with her cute little kids; raising them the way she thinks they should be raised - each with a mind of his own. Speeding back and forth to Crosby is Galen Rosenquist. He may join the army, he says. On the other hand, he may go into the sheep business for good, so he can be home for all the parties in Crosby. Still making up his mind whether to be a bachelor or not is Bruce Verlinde. In the meantime, he is farm- ing the homestead smoking his Benson and Hedges ... The last of the class is Connie Zimmerman. She came up from the end of the list and was the first runner- up in the Miss America Pageant. Along with a check for $1000, Connie was presented a bouquet of roses. We hope she takes care of them, as the price has gone up to $20 a dozen. This finishes up that class of 1973. Each of these seventeen ruffians has found a place in the world, but who is going to say whether it is good or bad! 19
