At their graduation time, there were many people who had doubts about these 16 rascals. First we see Marian as a professor at Fargo University, where she is in the process of testing out diet meth- ods. She’s still not married, as she is having too much fun to settle down to one guy. Next we found Ron. As President of the United States 4-H Association; he has his headquarters in the quaint little city of Chicago, where he resides with his sweet wife and their five over grown boys. Tommy has kept Noonan going by taking over Burner Coal Company which now serves the entire Burke- Divide area. He is happily married with six sons who the neighbors say take after Tommy - the meanest kids in town. Charlene, who is also still a member of the community, just recently won a trip to Hawaii by winning the Crisco award for her delicious homemade bread. She credits her technique to Mrs. Jack Brady, home-ec instructor of the 1972 home-ec department. We can view Joy every weekday on KUMV-TV where she has taken over the Galloping Gourmet Show. Join the many watchers from all over the nation. We find Diana married to Steve, and together they are the proud owners of the Tangsrud Super Chicken Farm. Diana looked pretty worn out, for she had been baking pies all day for her husband Steve and their littles ones. Next we go to Hollywood, where we find MaryPat playing the role in the TV serial as a nurse for Marcus Welby. She’s doing well, but we know if she ever needs a job, there is one waiting right here in Noonan at die Bohlman Nightclub. From Hollywood we went to Los Angeles where Mark has reached his lifetime goal as the Editor of the PLAYBOY magazine. Business is booming and he is planning on opening additional publishing offices in Turkey and Yugoslavia. We hear from Mark that Randy is making a career with the army. Once in, Randy became so attached to Uncle Sam that he even gives up part of his wages to supply beverage machines in the barracks. Randy says Greg has quit his job as phy-ed teacher in Noonan. Greg said there was just no challenge in it anymore. He has moved to D.C. where he is sharpening pencils for the Internal Revenue Service. Daryl is now President of the FDIC, which incidentally stands for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He's still single: he's trying to decide between the smooth-talking girls of the cities or the wholesome wheat- grown country girls of North Dakota. We see Stan dedicating his life as a detective for shoplifting at the Truax Market in Noonan. These kids are sick, ” he says, “something must be done to stop them. Stan is still playing the field as far as women. Sweet little Becky, our 1971-72 Homecoming Queen, is now the owner of the Becky Babes Orphanage in Iowa. Becky was seen walking back to the orphanage from the supermarket. Taking care of 62 orphans besides her own eight little blondes is quite a strain on her. Teddy has taken over the Oral Robert’s show. His ambitions have paid off and his dream is now a reality. He still keeps up that cheerful disposition, and a smile from Teddy is a healing for anything. Cal, the last member to join the class of 72, is the United States representative for gymnastics for the 1992 Olympics. Oh, the training must've been good in Noonan! Cal's hopes are high and his chances are good. We wish him luck. Last, but not least is Dean, Dean has tried a little of everything - he's tried to follow his father in the handyman's world, and he's tried to get in a little pro-football. He's tried and tried ... but he just couldn't do nothing. ” We see him driving down main with his '54 Ford. He says he'd like to move someplace, but he just doesn't want to break those family ties. That takes care of the class of 1972. They turned out pretty well considering what they had to begin with. 13 Seniors ai Last . . . Sen Senior Play . . . Senior. Let us see what each one has been up to. We find Mary Bakken married and caring for her invalid husband, Randy Melle, who was permanently in- jured in his thirty-second car accident. They still own their Chevy. It seems that no matter how they tty, it runs on and on. Leaving the farm work for Garth, Pete Fagerbakke has taken off to the West Coast on his new 750 Honda. He is having such a good time seeing the country on his bike that he hasn't given much thought of returning to the farm. It took awhile locating Patty Dhuyvetter. Checking with the last college she had attended, we learned she joined the Peace Corps, and at the present time, she is working in some obscure village in the remote jungles of Africa. Gloria Fjeld is making popcorn balls for the Green Bay Packers. They are said to give the team that extra get up and go, and often make the difference between winning and losing. Estevan is still visited weekly by Robbie Burner. He has taken over Lyle Christianson's old job teaching pee wee baseball; a job that makes him really look forward to those weekends. We hear Thania Castellanos has returned safely to South America where she has wed Tarzan. They enjoy traveling and meeting people of other countries, but they prefer the jungle climate. Being he couldn't make a living as President of the Chrysler Corporation, Nathan Loucks is now a part time comedian on the Lawrence Welk Show. Nathan has found himself a wife, too. She is a sweet little thing who cooks and sews for him and speaks only when spoken to; just as a wife ought! Everyone is anxiously looking forward to the next Olympics where Elaine Haarstad, the greatest woman athlete, will be participating. She has really worked to get in shape for this big event, and we are backing her all the way. Rodney Christianson is struggling to make a living running the depot in Kermit whose total population con- sists of his family of blondes and redheads - the little cuties! Sacks of love letters are received daily by Mark Greaves who has taken up permanent residency in San Quenton. He says the letters cheer him up and provide an extra supply of papers for rolling cigarettes. Gary Lukach has graduated from North Dakota State University at Fargo. Fraternity life suited him so well that he decided to stay on, and to pay his way, Gary shampoos the carpet after parties at the DU Fraternity House. The Opera Houses are being played by Cindy Christianson who alternates giving singing lessons and 4-H demonstrations on the bus. Unused to kids, she finds it necessary to take off with her cat to recharge her pa- tience capacity. Jay Skarphol is happily married to Jeanne Melby and has recently taken over Howard's Bar. Business has been booming, and Jay is now considering reopening the old annex as a second business. Charla Wissbrod keeps herself busy with her cute little kids; raising them the way she thinks they should be raised - each with a mind of his own. Speeding back and forth to Crosby is Galen Rosenquist. He may join the army, he says. On the other hand, he may go into the sheep business for good, so he can be home for all the parties in Crosby. Still making up his mind whether to be a bachelor or not is Bruce Verlinde. In the meantime, he is farm- ing the homestead smoking his Benson and Hedges ... The last of the class is Connie Zimmerman. She came up from the end of the list and was the first runner- up in the Miss America Pageant. Along with a check for $1000, Connie was presented a bouquet of roses. We hope she takes care of them, as the price has gone up to $20 a dozen. This finishes up that class of 1973. Each of these seventeen ruffians has found a place in the world, but who is going to say whether it is good or bad! 19 20 K. Verlinde President G. Burner Vice-President D. Baker D. Barden P.
