PHILLIPS, Principal Mr. Phillips came to Noonan High School in the fall of 1966. He teaches chemistry, biology, and general science. Also pictured is his secre- tary Mrs. Rosenquist. MR. BORCHERT, Superintendent Mr. Borchert came to the Divide County School District from Max, North Dakota. This is his second year in this district. O. Lokken and A. Spooner are Noo- nan’s Representatives in the Divide County School District. They serve with D. Walen, B. Carter, G. Haug- land, H. Johnson, S. Lampert, L. Roberts, and R. The chorus thanks her for the help she gave us. Mr. Hysjulien has been custodian at Noonan School for nine years. These three diligent bus drivers are L. Bak ken, B. Ellison, and C. Fjeld. The Miners remained undefeated and massed a record of 7-0. They out-scored their opponents 177 to 60. Ten members shared in the scoring with Dale Fagerland leading scorer with 40 points. The Miners gained 2,112 yards with Bruce Fager- land leading with 740 yards and 102 carries. The team was plagued by injuries all year, the most serious being a fractured leg by John Chris- tianson. The Miner sweat- shirts were purchased through the Student Council. The Student Council was also instrumental in purchasing locks for the Physical Education Classes. The Noonan Band has been progressing rapidly in the past few years. There are now 42 members, ranging from grades 7-12. This year the band mothers with the help of the school board bought new uniforms, and the members are really pleased. Here’s a happy group that was caught off guard! ! Jfc omecommy N.H.S. has had Homecoming for two years. It was started in 1965. King and queen candi- dates were selected from the Senior Class and were elected by the student body. The activities included a paradq, the football game, and the big Homecoming Dance.
