Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly: Then, heigh-ho, the holly! This life is most jolly! SHAKESPEARE The Junior Class play Act Your Age was presented November 10, 1961. The play told the story of two sailors, Gadget Hoffenflugel (Steve Lumsden) and Jim Matson (Jim Stiles) who came to visit two girls who had been writing to them. The girls, Angy Goetz (Sandra Rovelstad) and Jerry Joyce (Linda Brodal) tried to pretend they were older than 15, their real age. The story became more complicated when Commander Stone (Stan McKibben) and his daughter Sandra (Glenda Rysgaard) arrived. Other cast members were Maxine Fagerland, Shirley Logelin and Becky Anseth. The play was directed by T. P. Lenhardt. I ACT YOUR AGE JUNIOR PLAYS ARSENIC AND OLD LACE On Nov. 9, 1962, the Junior Class presented Arsenic and Old Lace. The story was about two old maids (Gae Svendson and Lynette Shefstad) who poisoned people because they were very unhappy. Mort (Gerald Lokken) helped make the aunts happy. Teddy (Clar- ence Johnson) was taken to a sanitarium due to the fact he thought he was Teddy Roosevelt. The rest of the cast were: Joe Lukach, Jim Halvorson, Gary Fagerland, Dennis Bourdeau, Dean Loucks, Dwight Moses, Steve Lumsden, Duane Barden. The director was Mr. David Faimen. THUNDER ON SYCAMORE STREET The Senior Class play Thunder on Sycamore Street was presented April 27, 1962. The story was concerned with the events which followed when an ex-convict, Joseph Blake (Jim Focke), and his family moved to an average suburban neighborhood. The people living on Sycamore Street decided to force him to leave, but realized their mistake only when a former coward, Arthur Hayes (Raymond Dhuyvetter), shows them what they are about to do. Other cast members were: Keith Wilson, Judy Johnson, Steven Stakston, Carol Bourdeau, Ann Rovelstad, Richard Wells, Karen Barden, Sandra Spooner, Charlane Dahlke, Linda Brodal, Mark Joraanstad, Steven Lumsden, Glenda Rysgaard, Jim Stiles, Laura Barden, and Karla Stakston. The play was di- rected by Mr. T. P. Lenhardt. NO PHOTO AVAILABLE SENIOR PLAYS The Senior Class play, Peck’s Bad Boy, was presented April 5, 1963. The play centered around the life of Henry Peck, Jr. (Steven Lumsden) and his pals Jimmy Duffy (Duane Barden) and Minnie (Becky Anseth). Henry tried to get even with his father, Henry Peck, Sr. (Stan McKibben), for bring- ing a new stepmother (Maxine Fagerland) to make life miserable. By the end of the play Henry had solved most of the Peck's financial problems as well as straightening out several romances. Other cast members were Glenda Rysgaard, Laura Barden, Linda Brodal, Evelyn Johnson, Carol Pederson, Kathy Fjeld, Gary Fagerland, Dervin Wallin and Gerald Lokken. The play was directed by Mr. Larry Strommen. ADVERTISERS This above all — to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.
