Human beings are constantly looking ahead. Whether the matter is something trivial, like the weather, or more important, such as a career choice, people attempt to project their lives into the future. Lepanto '84: Projections wants you to look forward into your life. As a young adult, you have much to discover and plenty of years in which to learn. Your choice for the future depends on what you want to gain. Not only does what you want to gain influence the life ahead of you, but what the future will be also affects you. For example, since the future will be computer- oriented, courses teaching the uses of computers are available now in most schools. What we expect the future to be determines our learning today. The future is someplace we make, not somewhere we're going. Therefore, the two questions that are essential in determining life ten or twenty years from now are, What do l want to gain? and How can I make my future in the future? Projections: '84 serves the future by reminding you of your past. lt reminds you that whatever you make of your future will always have glimpses or your Nolan past in it. We hope these pages add to your glimpses. Cara Colella Editor U if

We of the 1984 Lepanto staff would like to acknowledge her continuing interest, humor, friendship, and creative teaching abilities by dedicating Lepanto '84: Proiections to her. Thanks, Ms. Mize, for just being you.
