Close Up: Washington D.C. Jan. 29 - Feb. 4 Ms. Mize and 14 students spent one week exploring Washington D.C. Some ot their experiences included several government seminars, a visit to Capitol Hill and the Pentagon, and a talk with Congressman Jim Wright. Mrs. Judy Wingo, with the help of President Cristina Hernandez and the rest of the Language Club, plans Foreign Language Week at Nolan. This is the biggest event planned by the club. Each year, students from foreign language classes participate in ethnic foods bake sales, art and poster contests, costume contests, and lunch for the teachers.
