THE TEAMS . He can fly! The 1983-1984 school year brought a major change in Junior High athletics. The addition of a football team and both boy's and girl's track teams rounded out the athletic program, which also included boy's and girl's basketball and girl's vol- leyball. Besides the new sports, there were new coaches: Diane Urey and Bro. Bruce Dean, and a few volunteers: Tony Drollinger, Paul Hernandez, Pat Horrlgan, Sam Padilla, and Liz Foley. Although the size of Nolan's junior high increased to 122 students this year, only a few participated in sports. However, those that did participate worked hard, even though there was often confusion as to rules and skills during practices! In spite of the expected hassles of organiz- ing teams l Did you get a uniform? Did you turn in your eligibility card? PLEASE, be at OLV half an hour before the game startsl l, these young athletes and coaches put their hearts into their sports. Nolan High School should be proud of it's youngest group of athletes. They are the next people to build our senior high sports program, and their dedication and discl- pline will show in the years to come. Q l'm not doing that. Y . We're ready to kick some ---- ! This team is so cud
