In order to qualify for the N-Club, students must be a letterman in a N.H.S. sport. This year 43 students qualified making the largest N-Club in three years. In the 78-79 school year the N-Club sponsored a basketball game between Millikin University, bringing back our former Redskin, Steve Gonet. The N-Club did a great job this year not only entertaining the school, but by entertaining the community as well. We hope in the years to come the future N-Club will be as well represented. 25 N-Club officers: Pres; Kathy Ovca, V-Pres; Richard Jachino, Sec; Tina Flowers, Treas; Scott Keele.

DeWerff, sponsor. Treasurer: Joy Smith; Secretary: Anita Chausse; Vice-President: Lana Foster; President: Kathy Lehman Students speak for students could be the motto for this year's Student Council. Speaking up, helping out, expressing opinions, guiding others, showing leadership, and finding entertainment was an essential for this year. The Student Council sponsors the Homecoming and Valentine dances, as well as sponsoring special assemblies whenever they can, in order to entertain the school. This year they invited the Lincoln Land Community Jazz Band and John Jarboe. These Student Council members were chosen by the student body to represent each class. Their sponsor, Mrs. DeWerff, and the Student Council are to be complimented on a great year and great way to end the 70's. 24

The band participated in many parades during the summer. They played a big part in the Christmas Concert, Spring Concert, and Graduation.
