Its an active, different type of club.1' The members learn more about the food, music, customs, etc., of Spanish speaking counters. The club also provides an opportunity for the members to put their knowledge of the Spanish language to use. As for activities, the Spanish club held a bake sale and cake raffle, and the proceeds were donated to the local AFS chapter. An educational item is annually purchased for the Spanish room by the club. This year they are purchasing a sweat shirt with a Spanish moto for each member. The remainder of the club funds will be used to provide an enjoyable and educational activity for its members. FHA AWARDS Pictured above: Jody Grunenwald, Charolette Carroll, and Frances Fleet. The FHA participated in the state conference in Decatur. Jody Grunenwald received an A rating for nursery school activity. Charolette Carroll and Frances Fleet received an A rating for the March of Dimes skill shop. On May 15 the FHA had their awards tea. Jody Grunenwald was installed as the new President for the year 1979-80. Other new officers are: Vice-Pres. Charolette Carroll; Sec. -Treas.
