OLD NOKOMIS Semor Class Hlstory Four years of hlgh school l1fe almost completed four happy eventful years which we shall never forget Undoubtedly thls sentxmentallty IS foremost ln our mlnds but yet we have other thmgs besldes memorles That we the class of 1935 have done our work well there IS no doubt In scholarshlp athletlcs llterary work muslc and many other phases of school llfe we have really shown our worth In the fall of 31 we were a group of earnest students floodlng the cor rldors of N T H S ready to take all the knowledge and enjoyment the school offered us As Freshman leaders we chose Mlss Spellbrmg and Mr Cosner as sponsors Jacob GCISS Armand Tosettl Dorothy Schaefer and Mary Clbery as class officers The soc1al actxvltles were confined to two partles one sponsored by our own class and the other by the Sopho mores but such trlfies mattered llttle to us for we were stlll a blt frlght ened by the dxgmfied upper classmen However we managed to pass thls first year successfully We entered our Sophomore year w1ll1ng to do all that was asked of us and wlth a better understandmg of hlgh school llfe For ofiicers we chose Wllllam Ferfecky Ray Engelhart Agnes Carroll and Mary Obregar with M1ss Laws and Mr Cosner as sponsors A few more respons1b1l1t1es were added but our class seemed to be able to take 1ts place ln the hlgh school At last the longed for Iunlor year arrlved when we as a class could rlghtfully partlclpate rn the more worthwhlle act1v1t1es of our school Mxss Ronchettl and Mr Stumm were advlsors and Armand Tosettl Junlor Florml and Lorene Glbson officers We were now given our iirst chance to show our dramatic ab1l1ty ln the Iunlor class play Oh Professor' under Mlss Ronchettl and Mr Stumm s dlrectlon The fund from the play was used to banquet the upper classmen who were maklng thelr final bow to N T H S The coveted Semor year finally arrlved We entered our brrghtest yet saddest year nn hlgh school l1fe for It was our last chance to be a part of the school we had learned to love M1ss Yackle and Mr Barth with Edward Davls Melvin Jones Frank Davxto and Eileen Pocock advlsed and led us through So end our last days 1n N T H S They have been frultful and happy years for each Semor days whlch w1ll remam stamped 1n our memory for ever As we b1d N T H S a fond farewell our partlng glft will be Old Nokomls of 1935 Farewell School days are now over four very short years To some they brlng gladness to others sad tears Some studles are done others just begun New battles are started but vxctory not won Whatever our galn 1n thls world that may be Dear N T H S we owe lt to thee R M P Class Motto Not luck but pluck Class Colors Purple and Whlte Class Flower Whxte Rose Student on Honor Roll fifteen successlve quarters Frances Snow Sx I .
