LEE CND BAXTER CL ED Though this was Baxters first year out for football he proved himself suffl ciently capable of holding down the pos1t1on of left end The opponents found it very tough when they tried to sweep his end and he was a good blocker as well GEORGE CND HINTON CL TD Football and HCZZIC went hand ln hand for four full years Hezne made an excellent tackle because of his great ability to block and also to break up the r1val s MELVIN CND JONES CL GD jones held down the guard position because of his unusual peed and his block mg taCt1CS At times he played 1n the back ii ld but we llke to remember him as the fighting guard on the team of 34 35 WENDELL CND BUESCHER CCD Wendell IS carrying on the center position for the Bueschers He has one more year to look forward to and it shoald be a bright one He has kept the opponents from scoring many times by his excellent tackling while backing the lme of defense HOWARD CND DUDDY CR GD This being Duddy s first year out for football he showed some lack of experience but he readily made up for this by his natural ab1l1ty and his willingness to learn Wherever the fighting was the thickest there was where you would find hlm FRANK CND STAPLETON CR TD Pug was a very good tackle because of his wonderful ability to charge in on the opponents offense His tackling and blockmg showed up well and his cheerful attl tude helped keep up h1s teammates spirits offense WALTER CND ORIN CR ED Wally was quite able to keep the opponents on the lookout for a pass that he situatlons as they came He played an excellent game and showed up well in all of them MORRIS CND MONTI CL HD Hunk made a good plunging back and could always be counted on when ground gaming was in need He was high scorer th1s year in the South Central Conference and he had a reputation of havmg such a hard head that it couldnt be hurt He was not only a scorer but he was able to block the defense end alone in many games STEVE CND POPOVICH CR HD Doggle has two more years of football ahead of him which should bring more glory for him He IS a good plunger also He shows excellent natural ab1l1ty for he played end ln his Freshman year but this year h has been shlfted to the backiield where he plays even a better game FRANK CND DAVITO CQ BD Frank was the pilot of the team for he had charge during the game He was a good signal caller because he was always cool and never seemed to lose his head when the game became excltlng He figured m the scorlng and was a great aid to the team in many ways WILLIAM CND FERFECKY CF BD Boollsh was the outstandmg star of the team and was well known in all South Central towns and places in th1s vicinity He was a good punter and was on the throwing end of all the passes He was e pecially not cl for his ab1l1ty to run back Dunts He had the misfortune of obtaining a cracked r1b in the Pana game which hindered him greatly toward the end of the season JUNIOR CND FLORINI CSUBD Jibby was one of the mam subs He was a substitute end nd proved unusually good any time that he was sent in Often one had to look twice to be sure he was not one of the regulars JACOB CND GEISS CSUBD Ge1ss played guard position in case shifts were made or someone was out on ac count of injury Whlle he was in the game he could be depended upon as much as anyone for he would keep fighting t11l the final whistle bl w Twenty seven O O O I O O O , , 1 . .- . ,, . ,, . - .. - ,. .
