Jumor Class Hls+ory In 1932 exghty one gawky lookrng Freshmen entered the doors of N T H S We were so very txmrd and shy At our first class meetmg we elected Wendell Buescher presrdent Mary Clbulka v1ce presldent Mlke Furlmsky secretary and Genevreve Smgler student councxl representatlve Mxss Pxrcher and Mr Myers took plty on us and consented to be our sponsors The Soohs gave us a party they furmshed the eats and we the entertamment Seemg that all the upper classmen were havmg wlener roasts we decided to rmltate them and have one too Ceven though we dxd not know what lt was all aboutj We had to weather two severe storms Cexamsj Thanks to Mlss Plrcher and Mr Myers we pulled through the year o one could keep us Freshles down! The second year We had now reached the honored place of the Sophomores Thus tlme we elected Monroe Berns presxdent Harold Johnson v1ce presldent Lela Mae Evans secretary Mrss Laws sponsor Takmg pxty on the FYCSh1CS we gave them a party fthrnkmg they needed our frlendshlp and good advrcej If we are to Judge by the racket and nolse these krds made they had a good time The thrrd scholastlc year' fWe must 1ncrease our vocabulary now that we have attalned the exalted posrtxon of Jumorsj We elected Mary Clbulka presrdent Cllf ford Dahler vxce presldent Hazel Hmton secretary Mrss O Donnell and Mr Rade macher accepted the posltron of sponsormg us We were entertamed wxth a Chrlstmas ful class play Hold Everythmg and closed our happy Junlor year by glvmg the Semors a farewell banquet and lookmg after them g nerally durmg thexr last days N T H M C Class Motto Dont Slt up and S1t Get up and Get' Class Colors Pmk and Sllver Class Flower Pmk Rose Students on Honor Roll eleven successlve quarters Wllma Battles Lela Mae Evans Ruth Irene Thompson Sophomore Class History The t1me for whxch we had eagerly awaxted had come In the fall of 1933 we came from Nokomls grade and rural schools to N T H S prepared for all new exper1ences Soon a class meetmg was called where Mxss Ronchettl was chosen sponsor and the followmg officers were elected M1les Hubbard presldent Herman Lehenbauer vzce presxdent Isaac Russ secretary treasurer We started the year wlth seventy five puprls all of whom took an actlve part m the varlous orgamzatlons such as G A A H1 Trl chorus F F A football and basketball Durlng the year we enjoyed a wlener roast and Hallowe en party wrth the Sophomores After a summer s vacatlon we came back to school ready to work but our num ber had decreased to about slxty slx As Sophomores we called a class meetmg and chose Mr Stumm sponsor The followmg officers were elected Steve Popovlch presrdent Bruno Rossr vxce preszdent B1ll1e Kessler secretary treasurer I October we enjoyed a wlener roast wxth the Freshmen We owe much to our teachers who have helped us on thls Journey through two years and eagerly awalt the tlme when we shall bear the proud tltle of Juniors A V Class Motto To Strlve to Seek to Fmd and Not to Yleld Class Colors Srlver and Blue Class Flower Tea Rose Students on Honor Roll seven successlve quarters Florence Hoffman Blllxe Kessler Amta Vercellone Paulme Zlmmerman Seventeen o o o s o o 0 0 9 0 0 0 0 ' ' I I ' it U!
