I an ,.1ui-,a0.,- -1,,,.- DGALE The l98O-8l Noblette Drill Team experienced a year of growth and success. The squad's growth was obvious, expanding from a total of I6 girls in l979-80 to our present group of 35. The squad performed under the direction of their advisor, Miss Bruich. All the girls on the squad would like to express their deepest apprecia- tion to Miss Bruich for her dedication to the Nogales Drill Team. Led by the enthusiastic Lady Marchiones, Shellise McKinney and her First Lady Gwen Henry, the noblettes greeted each morning with 7:I5 AM practices. Pizza parties, Birthday parties, secret sisters and after school practice helped established a closeness among the members. Some highlights of the year included: lst place at Simi Valley Halftime Competition 2nd place at Arroyo Drill Team Competition 2nd place at Chino Halftime Competition 3rd place at Chaffey Halftime Competition and Band Review 3rd place at Camp Compeition 4th place at Calif. Band Review Other happy memories of Drill Team I9808I were: Football halftime shows, Cespecially the CIF game against La Sernaj, Camarillo Christmas Parade, the outstanding Open House performance, and performing the competition show at Giano Jr. High. With many returning members in I98l-82, the Noblettes look forward to another successful year.
