We welcomed 9 new teachers, a new principal, new courses and the largest freshman class to enter NHS in one year. Combining the new with the old, 1961 turned out to be the biggest year in Noblesville High School history. We worked out skits for pep sessions, took time out from studies to attend club meetings, Wednesday night canteen, and choir practice. We backed our mighty Millers at B-Team games as well as at varsity thrillers. We had the biggest cheer block that made the loudest noise. We rushed to class just in time to slip into our seats before the bell rang. Whether it was cramming for a history exam or memorizing the parts of a frog, Nl-ISers strove to do their best.
