—— —_— ii i - _ i—— THE SENIOR CLASS OF NOBLE TOWNSHIP PRESENTS THE 1957 TREASURE CHEST TA@en hoot en! wep exlael Mestanlic (waltzes oe We, the senior class of °57, dedicate this Treasure Chest to the memory of JAMES LEE HUDDLESTON. | TRUSTEE GILBERT TALMAGE ADVISORY BOARD Wilbur Curless, George Hiatt, George Sonda COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT C. L. VANDERGRIFT SCHOOL PRINCIPAL MR. C. O. DUKER Noble Students, I recall that in the 1954 Treasure Chest I gave you a recipe for happiness. This last Christmas I was given a better illustration than any I knew at that time. Now, three years later, | add to my previous message. Children are sometimes taught to make wishes—over wishbones, lost teeth, shooting stars, etc. We don’t really expect the wishes to come true but we make them think that they will if they wish hard enough. Sometimes we encourage them to make “three wishes” just to give us some hint as to what they- want for Christmas. For some such reason and as a follow-up, I asked our daughter if she got all she “wished for” for Christmas. She said, ““Yes,—well there were some things that I wanted but I did not think I could get them, so I didn’t wish for them.” Maybe that is just being practical, or even clever, but it did make her a nice Christmas. She got what she wished for! May you be equally happy! Sincerely, Principal Ae Cede SCHOOL SECRETARY MRS. Carl Black (Einstein II) is now Dean and Housemother at an all-girls college. Bonnie Boardman now owns a string of root beer stands and is supplying her own car hops. Earl Cleaver now runs his own club by the name of “The Cleaver Club,” which is engaged in gambling, cards, pool, poker, etc. After 10 glorious, heroic years of service in the Marines, Eddie Curless has now made the rank of Pvt. 1 e. Jean Daugherty, who was the former Jean Hendry, is now a grease monkey in Joe’s hot rod and custom shop. Julia Eckerley is now the lap secretary for the Wolfrum Manufacturing Co. (Manufac- turers of what?) Reggie Garrison, who is still going to night school for the tenth year, has been promoted to a sophomore. Leo Hanline, now the Wabash County truant officer, has been having trouble keeping his kids in school. Dennis Kramer, play boy of the century, is trying to get legislation to make harems legal. He thinks that it is a necessary evil. Linda McCloud, now known as “blood loving Linda,” is a nurse. She has married a doctor and since business hadn’t been so good, they are raising their own patients. Myron Ridgeway owns a 2,000 acre ranch, a mansion, and 50,000 head of cattle. He is waiting for Linda to get out of school. Carole Roller, secretary of her engineer husband (R. G.) was quite thrilled with the beautiful bridge he built. However, she wrote a letter to the wrong company, and he built it over the wrong river. Ruth Truss, after ten years of being engaged, is finally taking the gib step. The delay was due to Raymond’s spending of money for custom rods throughout the years. Phyllis Thompson has married Larry Patton and they’re living out West with the Indians, producing a tribe of their own. David Wolfrum finds that having a wife for a secretary makes things much more convenient than otherwise. Tom Ogan has his own fleet of atomic powered shrimp boats. Something that he rigged up by himself. Carol Parke is one of the top society gals in the community. She isn’t as bashful as she was in school. Elizabeth Ridenour has turned out te be so good at being a secretary that she has taken over her boss’s job. A man gets pretty heavy on a girls’ lap though. Kay Ridenour has just started her fifth year of teaching geometry. She has replaced Mr. Bechtold. Herbert Ringel has just returned from lower Slobovia where he gave a whistling concert. Stanley Dyson has a job substituting for hyenas with laryngitis. Jerry Carter is the third assistant to the fourth manager of the flat tire changers at Carter’s Sales Service. Don Gullett, boxing champion, has just won the Golden Gloves title made out of tin. John Bannister, now a doctor, uses his talents on school teachers only. After cutting them to pieces, he always has a piece left over when he puts them back together. Mona Hansing, the wife of Jeff who is.a nuclear physicist, has trouble keeping track of her 11 children because Jeff keeps disintegrating them. Marilyn Manning is a nurse and is working for Doctor Scratch in Itchtown, Indiana. Rose Lane is riding the high seas as a Wac in the U. S. Marines. Brice Shepherd is now a coach for a famous all-girls basketball team. Nelda Pollard has just won the Rookie of the Year award for the 500 mile race in Indianapolis. She is the first woman in history to complete the race. Theeonn Sloan attended Purdue University and is now P. L. Wilson’s professor. P. L. figures that something is wrong, but little did he know that she had that needed charm. _ Shirley Ogan who took lessons on how to get along with her mother-in-law, is now finding out that it’s her husband that she has to get along with. ae a Z. 2 = A. ca Se ba) eo a 2 Z. fo TN a Z. pA z ze = = DAVE FULKERSON President BILL SCHOBY Vice President Becky Alexander Everett Alford Larry Allegree Carolyn Atkinson Todd Baer Bernie Cole Gary Cooper David Denney Ruth Earhart Richard Eckerley Ted Eubank Betty Jo Gift Joan Hawley Jerry Herron Jerry Hults Elbert King Martha King Mary Jane Kirby Judy Krueger Philip Marsh Bill McNeeley Eugene Middleton Terry Miley Bill Moore ELLEN NORWOOD Secretary Mike Niccum Jane Oswalt Janice Oswalt Joe Patton Ernie Peas Charles Porter Curt Purdy John Quinn Jim Ridenour Novadean Ridenour Max Ridgeway Vada Rogers Charlene Smith Ronnie Smith Joyce Snapp John Unger Judy Waymire Ann Webster Nancy Weisenberger Susie West Don Bollan, not shown Linda Whitaker Mable Wildoner John Wilson BEVERLY WATSON Treasurer PHOTO NOT AWAILASLE a. ¢ Sy SHERMAN OGAN President DAVID VROOMAN Vice President Beverly Barrett Betty Bashore Susanne Black Jerry Bowman Shirley Bridenthal Joanna Campbell Dianna Clark Brenda Curless q Jane DeArmond Dean Donaldson Rosemary Ferrier Sue Ann Finkenbiner Jim Flohr Pat Flora Gary Frank Cynthia Sue Hall eee ae Ronnie Harris Jo Hendry Sue Keaffaber Jerry Kirtlan SANDRA SMITH Treasurer S S cl ARLEN KENDALL Mike Koons Secretary Carolyn Manning Charles Martin Linda Miller Paul Nordman David Overley Ronnie Peebles Penny Persley John Pollard Rex Raber Karalee Ringel Nancy Rogers Wilma Rohrer Carolyn Roser Linda Rumpf Verle Sloan Evelyn Stoops Sandra Sweares Sherry Vigar Brian Wall Sandra Weisenberger ED DONALDSON Vice President MIKE DAVENPORT DOUGLAS KING Secretary-Treasurer Bobby Alexander Sharon Allen Barbara Behny Harliss Birt Howard Bitzel Bob Boardman Billy Cooksey Carol Craig Myra Crandall Jane Denney Patricia Duncan Larry Evenson Juanita Finnegan Bertha Fordyce Linda Fordyce James Getz Joe Gift Paula Gordon Charles Hall Bob Haneline Janice Johnson Sally Kemker Fred Kendall Diana Kirby Eric Koons Jim Lane Larry Martin Margie McCloud Jean McDaniel Judy Mendenhall Beth Miller Barbara Moore Jim Moore Michael Mullett Beverly Niccum Lavonne Norwood Jimmy Oswalt Betty Parke Sharon Peas Tom Phillips Richard Price Buddy Rhoades Merlin Ridgeway Lowell Ringel Sandra Roser Jackie Schlemmer Steve Shambaugh Bobby Slusser Claudine Smith Jerry Sommers Linda Stackhouse Sharon Sullivan Shirley Sweares Carol Tucker Frank Unger Connie Utter Carol Weaver Cletus Webb Dale Weiss EIGHTH GRADE LARRY LANDIS President BOB SUMMERS Vice President DAVID CURLESS Secretary-Treasurer Wayne Atkinson Katherine Black Lenore Catterton Donald Cole Melanie Custer Bobby Evenson Toni Flohr Terry Foust Karen Frank Dawn Graves Shirley Haupt Joe Hoy Stephen Keffaber Dixie Kemker John King David Kunkel John Lynch Ruth McGinness Gordon Miller Richard Nicely | Julia Ogan Sandra Penrod Forrest Price Georgia Proffitt Sharon Reed Lois Ridenour Marilyn Ridgeway Mike Ridgeway Mike Rogers Hugh Russell Patty Schoby Dave Schuster Richard Skelton Terry Smith Tommy Sullivan Sandra Sommers SEVENTH GRADE 1 JON BRIGHT President JAMES KEFFABER Vice President BONNIE KIRBY Secretary-T reasurer Kenneth Alexander Jerry Bell Jerry Biggs James Black Paula Bowman Donald Cole Lewis Curless Veldon Dillingham Rebecca Draper Nathan Eppley James Erb Richard Erb Bonnie Hall Connie Hall Gary Helfin Sue Jenkins Bobby Kirby Larry Lane Chris Lutz Tom Miller Charles Pollard Jack Lee Price Dennis Proffitt Susie Ridenour Ronnie Skelton Lorin Sloan Dary] Slusser Rex Vigar Janet Weiss Jimmy Wilson oe : DRUM MAJOR MONA HANSING MAJORETTES Julia Eckerley, Sharon Peas, and Jean Hendry MARCHING BAND © ice ss = i) Y.
