Y i CPERATIONS The operations department is in charge of the overall planning and scheduling of events connected with the ship's employment, communi- cations, electronic maintenance maintenance and the combat information center. There are four divisions within the department performing vari- ous tasks. OCS is the visual signals divisiong they receive and report visual signals and maintain a continuous alertness. OCR is the ship's radio com- munication centerg all incoming and outgoing mes- sages and information vital to the shipis effi- ciency is carried out by thisdivision. OI division deals with the ship's radar equipment plus advises and assists the bridge in maneuvering the ship. OE division insures that all of the electronic equipment is in top working condition by executing proper repair and maintenance. LCDR R. A.
