Y . ::::'r-Tr, Q2 F I y l K 1 X' K On 26 March We left San Diego for the NOBLEYS 1963 WESTPAC Cruise. We departed to the playing of the band, the Waving of hands, and to the fond farewell of family and friends. For some it was their first cruise to the Western Pacific, while for others it was their last. Both joy and anxiety were evident throughout the ship, for the Far East holds much fascination and promise of adventure, to say nothing of its people, foods, scenic Wonders and fantastic shopping buys. We all left our home port with mixed emotions and anticipation for the Orient, for truly east is east and west is West, but we were willing to prove they could meet.
