A large group of friends and relatives gathered at Ken- 0 0 nedyvs Service Station at 10:00 A. M. on May 28 to see e n r T P the graduates off on their trip to Chicago, Illinois. The group traveled by school bus to Dallas where they boarded the Rock Island Rocket. Enroute they passed through Kansas City, crossing high above the Missouri River via the Truman Bridge, spanned the Mississippi River at Davenport, Iowa and arrived at Chicago's La Salle Street Station 24 hours after leaving the Dallas station . Many points of interest were seen such as: Museum of Science and Industry in Jackson Park, Adler Plane- tarium, Shedd Aquarium, Chicago Museum of Natural History, Buckingham Fountain, Chinatown, Skid- row, Lake Cruise, The Gold Coast and drives along Lake Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Talley and Mr. Bill Hoover accompanied the group. '1 555 T. .. Q, 5? Z5 ip I' it The Nixon group posing for one last picture in the LaSalle Street Station before leaving for home. 5 'Q On the train there was time Tour bus unloads for for relaxation. Sighfweing Everybody seems occupied after traveling several hours on the school bus. Wonder whats going on now . .
