MORE ABOUT GRADUATION NIGHT Dr . Millington chats with speaker Robinson. The eventful night of graduation when families and friends of the graduating class could be accommodated in the school's own auditorium came to Nixon on the night of May 29th. The large stage was most adequate for seating the class , speakers and other dignitariesg and the five hundred chairs in the au- dience were nearly all occupied. There was an air of pleasure and s a ti s fa c tio n about the crowd, for many were seeing for the first time the interior of the new gym with its excellent lighting and its gleaming polished maple floors . Dr. W.G. Millington, president of the School B oard pre- sided during the evening and presented the diplomas . Awards were made by Superintendent James E. Box. Girls of the Junior Class Evelyn Hernandez, Mary Riojas, Josie Pantoja. Patricia Ken- nedy is not pictured.
