The mighty Wildcats battle the Herbert Hoover Huskies. HOMECOMING The Senior Class Hall We Believe On November 6, 1965, amid the floats, music, sunshine and gaiety, the anticipation showed on the faces and in the nervous smiles of the three candidates vying for the title of Miss Wildcat 1966 . The floats have lined up at the far end, thus setting the field for the battle to take place. The mighty Wildcats were set to send the Huskies back to the doghouse. The half-time procession was led by Miss Huskie, escorted by Joel Graves. Miss Huskie was followed by Nitro royalty. Phyllis Reynolds Miss Wildcat Nancy Magoun Senior Attendant MISS WILDCAT AND ATTENDANTS The final moment came, the name was announced, a cheer came forth from the crowd; Jim Raynes placed the crown, as Phyllis Reynolds, Miss Wildcat 1966 , wiped tears from her eyes and showed the crowd a truly winning and royal smile. Miss Wildcat's” honor was the climax of many awards presented during Homecoming. The anti-climax came during assembly, Friday, November 5, when the Junior Class was presented with the First Place trophy for the Hall Decorations. The presentation brought much joy for the Juniors as it represented an award for hours of hard work and planning. The Juniors' happiness was not short lived. After the hours of planning and hard work put into their hall, Eve of Destruction-Dawn of Correction , it came as quite a surprise to every- one when the Junior Class float won first place in the class division. The F.B.L.A. float was recognized as a truly remarkable float when named first place in the club division.
