CLASS PROPHECY The scene is a television studio, WPHEW, located in the great industrial metropolis of Nitro. The time is the spring of '67' and the makers of Anything are about to present the all-time favorite, Time Tromples On. Today, we would like to review the past few years with the senior class of '57,' to see how far they have trompled along the road of life. Before we enter the road of life, we spy a large road sign stating; Detour, There's a Muddy Road Ahead, which is the magnificent work of BARBARA BEASLEY and BUTCH LONG. As we glance over our interviews, we find that JOE SMO HILL, well known nuclear physicist has deviated far from the road of life, he prefers the Milky Way to the moon. DUCK THE GREAT SMITH, and we do mean great, has found there's nothing like circus life. He has broken world records with his 550 lbs. and enjoys his work immensely. Where is his faithful wife ALICE ALLIE BROWN? As usual by his side at 449 lbs. She heard the moon was made of cheese and your guess is as good as mine. ZEKE DONAHUE has done quite well a s a bachelor. He pulled off the road and threw up a do-it-yourself shack. By the way, there was a misprint in directions. Racing up the road of life in some contraptions designed by BERT (I build them, and I bet you can't drive them) TURLEY, are TRUDY (HOTROD) HANNA,KENNY (BUSHYTAIL) SHAMBLIN, ROBERT (BIG BOB) TUCKER, and WILLIAM (CARBORATOR) WALKER. Galloping along behind at a fearless pace is LILLIAN MARKS on the one and only Silver. Hoping for some business PAUL (Last to let you down) GATENS, unde rtakes the job of moseying behind in his hearse, Gabrial. WESLEY LANHAM and DEANNA TOWNSEND can be found in Hernando's Hideway, presenting Davy Crockett, on their duo clarinets. As we look in the clinic of old N.H.S., we see ANITA JOHNSON, RUTH McDANIEL and RUTH PRINGLE cramming pills down everyone's throat. Everyone is sick (of school, that is) HOWARD McKEE is the present owner of a chain of Show Boats which travel up and down the river of life, Blakes Creek. He formerly starred SHARON WILLARD and DONNA WOLFE in their famous balloon dance before HARRY (WILD HARE) MYERS passed out pins to the audience and broke up the show. It was always known that BOBBY LETT was bound for higher things. He took a gov- ernment job and his one duty is to keep the dome of the capital polished. JOYCE DEARDORFF, JAMES McGINN, NELLO DUNLAP and PEGGY HARVEY get the pleasure of tanning about the same time each year in Florida without cost to any of them. By the way, they are the biggest link in the Chain Gang. BOB (NO TEETH) LINDNER and DUCK (BABY DOLL) COOK fought their way right to the top, (of the Alps Mountains, that is). They were going just find until DAVID ASKINS started a landslide. Mesdames CAROLYN CHAPMAN, LYND ALL YOUNG, and SARA BUTLER have brought the atomic power into the home in the form of Boom, fast acting baking powder. All their friends attended the large funeral. VIRGINIA WILSON, VIRGINIA FARMER, CONNIE CRAFT, ADAH METZ, and EDITH RHODES wear a starched white cap and uniform now. No, they never did quite finish nurse's training but they liked the uniform so well that all got jobs in a bakery. Would CHARLES SMITH, JACK TURLEY, ORVILLE WITT, and DANNY WINTER, please hop on their brooms and sweep in all the gossip? Now back to Time Tromples On. SHE LB A SAYRE, IRENE TINSLEY , AUDRA LEWIS, ELLEN HAYNES, and GAYE HENSLEY have been deported to Kalamozoo, for stealing tomatoes out of JIM TURLEY'S grocery store. 11
