Throughout this special week Valley's residents en- joyed various events such as Clash Day, Hillbilly Day, Dress Up Day, Inside-out Day, and Color 8 Courtesy Day. Fmm events such as Peanut Races, Tricycle Races, a Sock Hop, Hall Decoration Contests, Bubblei-blowing Contests and, oh yes, a Senior Teepee, rounded out the week. Everyone made a special effort this year to show their spirit and cheer our guys onto a victory. - fx -A

Coronation ceremonies were held on October 14 for the '78 Homecoming Royalty. Ray Harris, serving as Master of Ceremonies, opened the ceremony with the introduction of the Sweet Teens who sang ' 'Nobody Does it Better, ' ' this year's theme . Last year's Royal- ty, Queen janet Carley and King Dave McGrew, were presented followed by the introduction of this year's court. Gift Bearers were Sean jahnke and Wendy Frink fpictured at left.j Martha Sowers and James Duysen were crowned as the 1978 Homecoming Queen and King. Congratulations! Following the coronation a dance was held with music by Anna Carlstedt's stereo , since the group, ' 'Back to Back, ' ' went to Hastings, Nebraska instead. Pictured below is the Homecoming Court. From left-Kim Crosswhite, James Crafton, Cindy Bowen, Tom McDonald, Queen Martha Sowers, King James Duysen, Teri Keat, Pat Pijanowski, Priscilla Steiner, Larry Curtis, Kim Byers, and Alan Sowers.
