The band is directed by Mr. Larry Peppers and Ray Harris is the drum major. Most of the instrumen talists were involved in Pep Band too , which played at pep rallies and home basketball half- times. Four ambitious musicians are pictured below, chosen to participate in the jumior High and High School Hon- or Bands at Red Oak. I 1 On Wednesday night, April 18, 1979, the Nishna Valley Chapter of the National Honor Society held its induction ceremony. The speaker for the evening was Mr. Robert Delisi. Mr. Delisi is the American Histo- ry, Government, and Spanish teacher at Nishna Val- ley. Larry CLu'tis led the induction ceremony as six new members were inducted. Following the ceremo- nies, Mrs. Dorothy Harbor presented the senior mem- bers with a traditional rose . Mrs. Peggy Phelps played the processional and recessional and accompanied the mixed double quartet as they sang ' 'No Man Is an ls- land, The duet of Priscilla Steiner and Dennis Grin- dle also sang ' 'With a Song in My Heart. -
