Pictured above FRONT ROW: Larry Peppers ,, Robert Delisi, Rod Powles, Mel Stoner. BACK ROW: Myrna John- son, Judy Dowden, Patricia Hurley, Deb Miene, Teresa Huisenga, Peggy Snicker. Myrna Johnson is spending her 10th year at Nishna Valley as Guidance Counselor. Judy Dowden has been at Valley 3 years. Her classes are Typing I 8 Il, Shorthand, Bookkeep- ing, and Office Practice. She serves as sponsor of the annual staff. Patricia Hurley teaches English 10 S 11 , British Literature , Grammar S Composition, and Creative Writing. She is Na- tional Honor Society sponsor and Director of the school musical which keeps her very busy. This is Miss I-Iurley's 8th year at N .V . Deb Miene is here for her first year at Nishna . Her classes this year included Speech, English 9, and English III . Activities keeping her busy were jr. Class sponsor, Cheerleading sponsor, and Extra- curricular Speech. Teresa Huisenga in her second year at Nishna Valley teaches Housing, Child Care, Home Ec. I, Clothing I 8 ll, Foods I 8 II, Independent Living , Family Liv- ing, and 8th Grade Home Ec. She also served on the Homecoming and Parent's Night Committees. Peggy Snicker was the Librarian at Valley this year. She had K-6 li- brary class and sponsored the Jr. class and Cheerleading. This was Miss Snicker's first year. Larry Peppers was kept very busy in his second year at N.V. He had Senior High Concert S Marching Band, Senior jazz Band, Junior Band, Sth Grade Band, 4th Fluto- phones, and Individual lessons . Robert Delisi has been at Nishna Valley for ten years . His classes are American History, Govern- ment, and Spanish. He also acts as Student Council sponsor. Rod Powles teaches Algebra I 8 II, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Senior Math at N.V. This is his Sth year at Valley and he also sponsored the Freshman class. Mel Stoner is here for the first time at N.V. Mr. Stoner taught Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sci- ence, Physical Science, 8 General Science . His activities includes Head Girls High School Track and assistant football S basketball.
