FOREWORD New occasions teach new duties; Time makes ancient good uncouth They-must upward still and on¬ ward, Who would keep abreast the truth : LOWELL With the inspiration of the above quotation in mind the Senior class of nineteen hundred and fifty nervously but optimistically and with the assurance of our advisor that we could suceed, we wholeheartedly launched a cam¬ paign to publish Ninth Avenue High school’s first Year¬ book ♦ The advisors and officers of the senior classes of previos years have carefully steered around this - cape with the utmost fo care. They were of the opinion, we suppese, that this was too great an undertaking, which required much work, time, and a great amount of money, which was too risky for them. It is only normal, since this is our first attempt, that we were not able to reach perfection yet, with dete¬ rmination, perservance, and honor we endeavor to make this meager contribution toward the expansion of student activities of our Alma Mater. We can mever express our deep appreciation and praise to these who in some meager helped us to reach our goal. Yet, we feel that they are already awarw of our gratitude The Senior clas of 50 hopes that the Senior classes to follww will not let our accomplishment cease. However we challenge them to excel our efforts. WE HAVE BROKEN THE DIRT, CAN THEY SOW THE SEED?
