-IUNIOR PRQWHECY The Junior Class of l945-4-6 were having their first reunion since school days. While discussing old times, the subject was brought to the Seniors of 19-15-45. This being the year of 1950 four years from the time we last saw them in school, we naturally began to wonder what became of them. Leona Bay one of our prominent juniors had just received a letter from one of her friends, Imogene Risk, Imogene for the past four years has been taking nurses training at the Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. She enjoys her work very much and wishes to be a nurse all her life unless a handsome man comes along. While on duty one night she ran into the new Staff Doctor. To her surprise and gladness it was her old classmate and friend john Tharp, Dr, Tharp took her to dinner where they saw Oran Mitchell, Oran who started as secretary for Wm. H. Blocks Co. four years ago now is half owner. When asked how he did it, he replied that he was acquainted with the daughter of the right people. Oran said that Don and Dave Ramey dropped in to see him while on leave and related some of their experiences in the Navy. Donald and Dave Ramey were stationed at the Navy base at Pearl Harbor for two i out of the four years they have been in the Navy. The other two years were spent cruising around the South Sea Island's and seeing all the beautiful ------ crocidiles. In a round about way they stopped in New York on the way home. They had always Wanted to spend some time in that city. The boys decided to stay a day or two, One night, when the boys were out for a good time they dropped in at the Stork Club since they both had heard so much about it, After ordering dinner, the boys became inter- ested in the floor show. lt was then they received the surprise of their young lives, for there was their old classmate Marvin Richards and his newly organized orches- tra, They had just recovered themselves from this blow when into the spot light walked another classmate, none other than Edith Strickland. She was singing You Won't be Satisfied, which was very popular while she was going to school. We have often wondered since if Billy Dean Yount had anything to do with that song., While the number was being sung, the boys caught Marvin's eye and as soon as the number was over Edith and he joined them at their table. While talking about their school days, as people do, they learned that Juanita Hensley was in the city too. She was working as secretary for the president of Sacks Fifth Avenue. They also said that she had her eye on the owner's son, and that they were to announce their engagement soon. We always knew juanita would get that rich man some day. While in Franklin the other day two of the junior girls of 1945 ran into a formal senior and classmate, Marie Martin. lt seemed that she changed her name to Hart as soon as she graduated. When asked what she was doing, she said that she was keeping a seven room house, two children, and Jack working. Another one of the junior girls who had been visiting her sister said that Alice Stout Williams was very happy in her new home in Indianapolis. Imogene Risk, as we have mentioned before was a nurse. One day she was sur- prised to see her sister occupying one of the beds. Imogene inquired what was the matter. It seemed that Mary jane and her husband fL,loyd Collinsl whom she mar- ried in 1946 was heading north on Michigan Street and failed to stop at a stop light. Mary jane didn't look bad but you should have seen the automobile! While still at the Hospital, Lloyd finally convinced Mary jane he hadn't been waving at any girl. While on the way to Franklin it was quite common for us to drop in at Camp- bell Dairy Farm and renew old times with Beckie and Bob, We have often wonder- ed if Beckies knowledge of how to milk had anything to do with Bob marrying her.
