Homecoming activities spark enthusiasm The 'Winter Wonderland theme became a reality as an early winter storm brought almost six inches of snow to Irving. Students began the week by decorating the halls. The freshman hall with the theme Vikings Stalk the Pink Panthers won first place . Sophie Montellano, a senior, was selected Homecoming queen. Kim McKenney and Jackie Lamb were queen nominees. Brenda Boccieri, Annette Bilbrey and Cindy Curry were Homecoming princesses. Although the Vikings lost their Homecoming game to y Duncanville, 16-14, over 500 students attended the dance held in the school cafeteria . J. V . football players Ctop rightj add fun to the Homecoming parade. Chris Hardy, a Nimitz ex, Cbottom leftj was one of many exes to attend the tea given for them during Homecoming. The Varsity cheerleaders Cbottom i rightj were each given a mum compliments of Mr. Curry at the l Homecoming pep rally. 26 STUDENT LIFE

David Lawrence, junior, and Quentin Blackerby, junior, Ctop rightj were one of the many entertaining acts in the Admiral's Revue, a talent show added to this year's Homecoming activities. Sheri Bryan, senior, and Mitch Williams, ex student, Ctop lefty dance to the music by SHORTCHANGE at the 1976-77 Fall Valhalla. Mark Money and Ronnie Hines, seniors, and Jeff Peiser, junior, Cbottom rightj keep up their spirit as the football season comes to a close .
