This was a new step, starting out in the year of 1974-75. The idea came from the students, since each club maintained enough members to support themselves. Having so many members, the clubs were very busy raising money for activities. Some activities which took place were a car rally, bowling matches, and picnics. The clubs also com- peted in various tournaments, one of which was the Inter- language Tournament, held Feb. 1, including all the clubs of different languages in Irving High Schools. HERO HELPING OTHERS GROW The Home Economics Related Occupa- tions program at Nimitz 'relates their activities to preschool children in day care. They presented educational materials for early children at Irving Day Care Association and had a puppet workshop to prepare a show for chil- dren in day care.
