'f .j A V utumn -Ks the 1984 summer came to a close, the Nimitz student bodv returned to the classrooms to prepare for the vear ahead. -Xutumn brought different and exciting events to Nimitz. The most memorable happen- ing was the football teams outstanding year with a record of 7' wins and 3 losses. Another special occurrence was the ordering of the juniors' class rings, The Na- tional Honor Society also in- ducted their largest member- ship in its history, Ronald Reagan was a popular name at Nimitz. The -Xmerican election allowed him to keep his furniture in the White House for another four years. This presidential elec- tion will be remembered because of Walter Mondales running mate. Geraldine Fer- raro, the first female running mate for major political party. The land breaking for the new Hardy Toll Road was at- tended by the Roaring Cougar Band.
