There are two phases of competition: long term and short problem. The long term is where each team selects one of five problems ranging from robotics, ecology, future pro- blems, structural engineering, or even vehicle design with problems changing each year. The short problem is where the team gives a solu- tion of a shorter problem and usually has one minute for preparation. Drafting -- Future Architects Prepare Composing detailed drawings and layouts and lettering are just two of the skills students in Drafting develop. They work with drawings of piping, thread, nuts, and bolts. Their goals require extra hard work, a great deal of concentration, and well developed assertiveness.
