'iMoonlight Mirage set the mood for the 1984 Homecoming game and dance. Everybody had begun preparing for the big event all week. The day started out with a loud and spirited pep rally joined by 93 FM. The station presented our school with a trophy for being their team of the week. Throughout the day, the Cougar Spirit was building up in everyone for the game that night. Even though the game was a close loss, the varsity team played well. For halftime entertainment, the fans were treated to a dance by the Starboard Angels and precision marching by the Roaring Cougar Band. After the outstanding perfor- mances, the time had come to find out who had been crowned Homecoming Queen. Suspense mounted as each class princess was presented to the enthusiastic crowd. Leading the Homecoming court was Denise Tabola as Freshman Princess, Patty Waldrep as Sophomore Princess, and the junior Princess was Jennifer Davis. Michelle Whitehorn was named the 1984 Homecoming Queen. The game was followed by a successful dance. The dance was attended by students old and new. At 1 AM the dance had end- ed and many memories will be remembered in the years to come. 3 4. ' 14 Activities
