The end result was satisfied students and staff. Editor, Paul Kendall, felt that this year's Calliope was the finest ever. A talented young breed of Nimitz students used their unique imaginations to produce a piece of literature. Calliope encourages and motivates students to write not for an assignment but for personal enjoyment and satisfaction by rewarding them the opportunity to have their works published. Among the students are the officers, Presi- dent, David Stevens, Vice President, Patti Walkrep, Secretary, Angela Ainsworth, and Treasurer, Kim O'Neal. Along with the spon- sor, Coach Kirk Hall, Coach Stuart Forman, Mr. john Pecoraro, and Mr. Pearston, the of- ficers help to encourage and build up one another in Christ. Mr. Pecoraro's hope for the club is to help young people realize that daily Bible study and prayer are important in Chris- tian growth. This club also wants to become involved since they are sponsored by the National Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Once a month the club has a party at one of the member's homes.
