t, W 'l. 'Ma Attitude: Best Ever The boys' track team did well this year. The few freshmen that were on the team were of high quality and will give Nimitz a strong l.V. team next year. Coach Nichols feels like one or two might even make the Varsity squad as Sophomores, At the district meet, the l.V. team took fifth place. However, earlier during the season they placed 2nd twice and came in third twice. The Varsity Boys' Team, made up of four Seniors and one So homore, did very well at district. Those placing were Buster Crews, Rodrick Howard, Keith Davis, and Vincent Barlow. Keith placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash, enabling him to continue on and compete at Regionals. Vincent Barlow, who placed lst in the long-jump at district also went and competed at Regionals. 'tThe men's attitude on this team was the best we have ever had here since lfve been here.
