NIMITZ FRESHMAN 1 984 VOLLEYBALL A Teamwork Keeps Freshmen on Top Freshman Volleyball pulled out of their season with a 16-8 record. llThey worked very well as a team, continually boosting each other, each teammate concerned for the other teammates, said Coach Diane Evans. Because of their teamwork, they never gave up on any game. District presented the girls with the toughest challenge. At MacAr- thur, the team experienced its first district win, causing much excite- ment. They finished district with a 5-4 record. Coach Evans has a good outlook for next year. 'This team will be tough to beat next year. They already work together now, she said. 1. One More ace for Maria Villapondo. 2. The Freshman team watches with anticipation. 3.
