Deca 'Sales' fo the Top in Marketing, Disiribuiing is the vocational club for of the Marketing and Education class. Deca have been very active in leadership and community in social part of the school first activity in which they was a leadership con- for all of the officers at Mc- High, during October they learned how to conduct club activities. Also during October, they helped with the Lane Center carnival which helped celebrate Halloween for the children there. During December they held a party at Cheryl Gilbert's house. The month of January and February ushered in fund raisers when the club sold candy to raise money for their employee-employer banquet and to send contestants to area contests. The Area HI Deca Contest was held in March with Mark Batton, and David Newton participating. All of the students won competency awards in their contests and Wes Hardin and David Newton qualified to go to state contest. State contest Wes Hardin won a competency award in Salesman- ship. The Nimitz employee- employer banquet was held in April at the Marriott Hotel. All Deca members said they had a real en- joyable time.
