' G-1 is divided into two crews. The Hangar Bay Crew is responsible for maintaining all electric forklifts and pallet jacks. The high quality of their maintenance ensures the safe transportation of ammunition throughout the ship. Additionally, they are tasked with the safe and efficient transportation of bombs, missiles and other types of ord- nance items to, from and about the hangar bays. The Flight Deck Crew is responsible for the safe movement, issue and receipt of ordnance on the flight deck. The men and women of Weapons Department provide the NIMITZXNINE Team with the munitions that put the bite in the team's bark. Composed of six divisions plus the EOD Detachment, they requisition receive stovv inventory breakout bl t ort d ' y 7 a 3 7 assem e, ransp , an issue all ammunition for the ship's company and air wing personnel. That includes all bombs, mines, Cartridges, bullets, missiles, grenades, special munitions, and demolition charges. They are on the flight deck for all air operations and maintain the transporters and bomb skids.
