The Reactor Administrative Office provides administrative support for the 400+ enlisted and officers of the Reactor Department. They prepare and route large volumes of correspondence, evaluations and all other essential reports in support of the Reactor Department. The Reactor Administrative Office also serves as the nerve center for the department, where each of the Principal Assistants hang their hats. The Reactor Depart- ment Administrative Assistant and Reactor Department Yeoman accomplish their jobs as true N IMITZIN INE professionals living the ship's motto MNIMITZ: Teamwork A Traditionf, Also falling under RX is the Nuclear Quality Assurance Division which overseas all aspects of repairs affecting the two nuclear propulsion plants. Exacting attention to detail, professionalism and ability to provide and conduct hands-on training to the 400+ person Reactor Department are requisites to assignment to this division. Additionally, we skillfully manage the ship alteration program ensuring NIMITZ maintains the same modern stan- dards as our newest carrier platforms.
