The Undefsea Warfare CUSWD Moduleis mission is to provide Antisubmarine Warfare CASWJ intelligence, tactics and Oceanographic environmental support to VS and HS aircrews, enabling them to detect, localize, track and if necessary, eliminate any Subsurface threat to our battle group. To keep the USW Module fit to fight, DPs provide essential mission support by maintaining vital equipment on-line and linked to the Combat Direction Center. DPs also program and build mission data onto portable tape cartridge units for the S-3B aircraft's on-board computer. Additionally they are responsible for post-mission data extraction which aides in the recon- struction and analysis of each air ASW event.
