The Aerographer's Mates of CA Division monitor and forecast environmental conditions 24 hours a day. Precise forecasts, essential for plan- ning safe and effective operations, are provided to all units operating with NIMITZ' Battle Group. ln addition to forecasting the Weather, NIMITZ' AG's provide forecasts for atmospheric and oceano- graphic conditions that affect Anti-Air and Anti- Submarine sensors throughout the Battle Group. The weathermen and Women of NIMITZ collect and analyze oceanographic and meteorological data from satellites, Weather balloons, sub-surface bathythermograph probes and time-tested surface Weather observations.
