The Damage Control Division has the awesome responsibility of main- taining all damage control equipment as well as training the entire crew in damage control. From the machinery spaces to the highest level on the island, the damage control organization ensures that fire fighting systems are always ready for use. DC men and women maintain the 10 main repair lockers and 25 unit lockers well stocked and ready for the ship's 800-person damage control organi- Zation to meet any emergency. The Nucleus Fire Party CNIMITZ' Fire Depart- mentD, led by NIMITZ' Fire-Marshal, CWO2 Longmire, responds to all emergen- cies while the ship is underway.
