,Y 1 X-2 Division, the Personnel Office and Customer Service Office is responsible for processing all enlisted personnel transfers, receipts and separations along with main- taining all enlisted service records and per- sonnelfpay forms. Processing identifica- tion cards, verifying dependency status and providing statistical manpower re- ports, used in the overall management of personnel, are other responsibilities of the Personnel and Customer Service Offices. A-ram 1 A - . ,, , X X-3 The Public Affairs Office provides a myriad of information and entertainment services for the crew. Personnel assigned to PAO are responsible for reporting command, Navy-wide and world events to the crew, as well as releasing stories and information about the entire battle group. When deployed, PAO broadcasts three shipboard entertainment and training channels 24 hours a day, in addition to four information chan- nels and two live satellite channels. A shipboard news program is produced three times weekly, as well as port briefs, safety stand downs, and live broadcasts of From the Top with the Command- ing Officer and Big Bucks Bingo. The ship's newspaper,Nimitz News, is pub- lished daily at sea, in addition to producing port guides, welcome aboard pamphlets, the cruise book, and other special publications.
