The Homecoming Committee was made up of a group of students in- terested in promoting school spirit. They were in- volved in preparing for Homecoming activities, such as the pep rally, dance and parade. To do this, they worked over the summer and fall plan- ning for the sale of T-shirts, candy, and buttons to raise money for the events. Key Club International, in its second year as a North-West venture, con- tinued to contribute both to school and communi- ty. Objectives of the club were to develop leader- ship. provide the exper- ience of working togeth- er, and to help needy. The group met at Niles East to work on such pro- jects as. a Christmas par- ty for the retarded, an in- terschool Turkey-o- gram and a village wide Key Club week .
