HOMECOMING: A near perfect celebration Homecoming ' 87, held the week of Oct. 12-16, was a great and spirited time for all the students and staff at NHS. To show their spirit, many students dressed for Farmer ' s Day, Fifties Day, Crazy Day, Uniform Day, and Blue and Gold Day. Wednesday night the annual Powder- puff Game was held, with the Senior Freshman team defeating the Junior Sophomore team. Following the game, students attended the first NHS Bonfire. Finally Friday came and everyone looked forward to the sixth hour pep rally. The entire student body cheered loudly during the class cheers, toilet pa- per contest and cheerleoding dances. Coach Magrane and Smith said, This was one of the best pep rallies in the years we ' ve been here. Friday night arrived and the question on everyone ' s mind was, Who won King and Queen? During the half-time fes- tivities Missy Flick and Scott Crocker re- ceived the honors. Being crowned queen was the happiest and most ex- citing times in my life. It is one high school memory I ' ll always cherish, said Queen Missy Flick. Even though the Vikes lost to Loy Norrix 19-6, Homecoming Week was definitely a near perfect celebration!
