He was graduated from Hillsdale College with a BA and from Bowling Green State University with an M S It is with a sense of great pleasure and pride that I address the following comments to the student body and future alumm of Niles Senior H1gh School As an individual member of the Niles Senior High School student body you probably will turn first to the sections of this edition of the Tattler which contain your picture as an individual member of a class and any will turn to the athletic section then the student activi ties department and finally you may look at the faculty d1v1s1on and eventually read these words In a few years this book will be the one visual con tact you have with your high school days and you will remember the fine op ortunities you had in the new high school building ou will recall that the building offered some of the finest facilities avallable to high school students 1n the area and the state It is the hope of the student body the faculty and the community at large that Niles can continue to offer excellent school facilities Th1s can be accomplished MR. LUCE OUR PRINCIPAL through care and consideration of the present building plus an awareness as adult citizens that buildings do grow old and inadequate in time It IS inevitable that some time in the future you will be called upon to sup port an educational program adequate to the needs of the times As time moves along you will become mcreaslngly aware of the need for a good high school background and individual record of achievement As you compare ent communities you will discover that Niles offered an opportunity at a high level to you and your class mates It IS our fervent hope that as members of the stu dent body and future members of a great body of alumni you continue to have a sense of high pride ln your school and that you think well and speak well of it in the future The faculty joins with me in wishing each of you well 1n whatever the future may brmg C Lester Luce Prznczpal I I group pictures in which you might appear.
