Commander Steven K. Johnson, U.S. Navy is a native of McCook, Nebraska. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in June of 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Following completion of nuclear powertraining in Vallejo, California and Idaho Falls, Idaho, Commander Johnson's initial sea duty assignment was to USS BAINBRIDGE QCGN-255 where he served as First Lieutenant and Machinery Division Officer. Hethen served aboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER QCVN-695 as Chemistry Radiological Assistant and Reactor MechanicalAssistant. After completion of the Surface Warfare Officer Department Head Course, Commander Johnson's sea duty billets included Combat Systems Officer in USS PAUL F. FOSTER QDD-9645, and Executive Officer in USS BUCHANAN CDDG- 14l, and Reactor Officer in USS NIMITZ lCVN-685. Commander Johnson graduated from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, California in June of 1982 where' he earned two graduate degrees CDR Steven K. Johnson Commanding Officer in Mechanical Engineering. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal. Master Chief Morris hails from Rome, Georgia where he attended Model High school. He graduated in June of 1959 and enlisted in the Navy in August of 1959. Master Chief Morris received Recruit Training in San Diego, California with follow on training at Radarman A school at Treasure Island, San Francisco, California, completing his training in February of 1960. Other military training includes Radarman B school, Electronic Warfare training on the ANXWLR-1 series, ANXULO-6 series, ANXSLO-32 series, AN! SLO-34, and other Electronic Warfare Operational schools. Master Chief Morris was stationed aboard USS BRISTER QDER-3275, USS PARSONS QDD- 9497, USS DESOTO COUNTY CLST-11715, USS FORRESTAL CCVA-595, USS RICHMOND K. TURNER QCG-205, USS SELLERS CDDG-111, and USS NICHOLSON QDD-9825, reporting aboard as Command Master Chief in December 1989. His shore command assignments include Fleet Maintenance Activity Group, Charleston, S.C. and Mobile Technical Unit Ten, also located in Charleston, S.C. Master Chief Morris's personal awards include the Navy EWCM Morris Command Master Chief Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Good conduct Medal fseven awardsl, National Defense Medal ftwo awardsl, Humanitarian Service Medal, plus several service medals and ribbons. Master Chief Morris is married to the former Virginia Hall of Rome, Georgia. They have three sons, David, Bryan, and Michael. A
