Jordan, USN Commander Wesley E. Jordan is native of Richmond, Virginia. He attended schools in that city until he entered the United States Naval Academy in l959. He graduated and received his commission in I963. His initial assignment was to the USS Leary CDD-8795, operating with the Atlantic Fleet. His duties included assignments as 2nd Division Officer, Electronics Maintenance Officer, and CIC Officer. Upon completion of Destroyer School in l966, Commander Jordan served as Weapons Officer aboard the USS Floyd D. Parks QDD 8845. operating in the Western Pacific. Following his tour on board the Parks, he entered the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California as a student in the Ordinance Engineering curriculum. He was graduated in December l97O having earned a Masters Degree in Engineering Acoustics. ln his subsequent tour, Commander Jordan completed the course of instruction at the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia. Following the Staff College, Commander Jordan served as Commanding Officer of the U.S. Naval Facility in the Turks and Caicos Islands, a unit of Ocean System, Atlantic Fleet. In August l972, he received orders as Commanding Officer. USS Courtney QDD lO2lj. He commanded Courtney, homeported in Naples, ltaly from December I973. Subsequent to his tour in Courtney, Commander Jordan served as Chief Staff Officer for Commander Destroyer Squadron 22. In September I975 he received orders to the Defense Advanced Project Agency where he served as a RSD Project Manager until October of l978. Commander Jordan reported to Nicholson in January, l979. Commander Jordan's awards include: the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device and various other service medals and unit awards. Commander Jordan is married to the former Susan Garrett of Richmond, Virginia. They have two children: Elizabeth, age IO and Rebecca, age 5.

Commander Destroyer Squadron l IX Captain Richard F Donnelly USN Captain Richard F Donnelly was born in Toronto Canada He moved to llllnols in l939 and later attended New Trier High School and Northwestern Unlverslty where h was a participant In the Contract NROTC Program He was graduated from Northwestern University in l9'54 with a Bachelor of Arts degree In Business Administration and a commission ln the US Naval Reserve His first duty was as Gunnery Officer aboard USS Salamonie CAO 265 Following a brief period of inactive duty Captain Donnelly requested recall In l957 and was ordered to USS Greenwood CDE 6792 as Weapons Officer While in Greenwood he was advanced to Executive Officer and in l958 was augmented into the Regular Navy A tour as Aide to the Commandant Sixth Naval District and a course of instruction at General Llne School Monterey preceded his next two assignments as Navigator in the IDIIIGI Wardroom of USS Preble CDLG ISD and as Executive Officer of USS John W Thomason CDD 7605 During l964 l965 he served In the Officer Distribution Division of the Bureau of Naval Personnel as Placement Officer for Pacific Fleet cruisers and destroyers Mayor sea assignments since that time include Commanding Officer of USS Evans CDE I023j from I966 I968 and Commander Destroyer Escort Squadron Eight during I97l l972 Significant shore tours have been as Aide and Flag Lieutenant to the Commander in Chief US Naval Forces Europe I970-I97I and duty ID the Manpower Plan and Evaluation Division Joint Staff CJ ID OJCS from l972 I974 Captain Donnelly attended Armed Forces Staff College in l968 and was a member of the l975 class of the National War College Thereafter he completed a second tour ln the Bureau of Naval Personnel in the Plans Division as Head Active Officer Plans Branch Captain Donnelly served as Commanding Officer of USS Yosemite CAD I9j from I977 l979 and then assumed duties as Commander Destroyer Squadron Fourteen on 22 June l979 in Ashdod Israel during the Squadron s deployment to the United States Sixth Fleet After completing a second Sixth Fleet tour in the summer of l98O Captain Donnelly was relieved as Commander Destroyer Fourteen on 3I October and on I2 December l980 assumed Command of Destroyer Squadron Six located in Charleston South Carolina Captain Donnelly is married to the former Rachelle Ann Dehoff of Nottingham England who is also on active duty In the Navy in the grade of Lieutenant Commander 0 S I ' ' e ' l ' ' , . . , Commanding Officer of USS Tattnall CDDG I9j from l968-l97O l
