We freshmen then had a Hallowe'en Tag Day as a money making project. We also took part ln the school ma- gazine drive. Finally, the freshmen intend to sell refreshments at home baseball games. This should be our biggest money making project of the year. We have had a successful year under our officers: president, Patty Milleg vice-pres1dent,Patr1ck Hiller, secretary, Barbara Bennett, treasurer, Norman Churchillg Student Council representatives, Paul Stone and Harold Barnum. 22

During the year, we were sorry to lose three of our twenty-one members, Myrtle Flnkenbinder, Ellen Keener who moved to Owego after her home burned and Ronald Bleller who temporarily moved to Smlthboro. The most im ort t p an activities which our class has engaged in areg putting on the Christmas assembly along with the eighth grade, and magazine selling contest. The Sophomores began their year with the election of the following officers: Kenneth Kinney, preeidentg Raymond Berry, vice preeldentg Joanne Williams, secretary Bill Moore, treasurer, Donald Cotton and Calvin Cornell, Student Council represent- atives, and Joanne Williams, class reporter. We have had a good year, with our cap- able advisor, Miss Storm. Throughout the year our class has staged many money making activities to raise enough money for our class r1ngs,our first being a Sophomore tag day held at Thanks- giving time. After this we sold manlcuree, shoeshines, and candy. Later a magazine dr1ve,and of course the Sophomore Hop,were put on. Even though some of these activ- ities were not too successful we are hoping we will obtain enough money to buy our class rings. 25
